Soda and water for 50–200 guests
Example: four hours, one 250ml serving per guest per hour, 50% water / 35% soda / 15% juice, no extra buffer. These are adjustable planning assumptions, not universal consumption rates.

How much soda and water for 200 guests?
For a four-hour event, an example allowance of one 250ml serving per guest per hour gives 200L in total. Split that volume 50% water, 35% soda and 15% juice, with no extra stock buffer:
- Water: 100L, or 200 bottles of 500ml.
- Soda: 70L, or 198 cans of 355ml (approximately US 12 oz) or 35 two-litre bottles.
- Juice: 30L, or 30 one-litre cartons.
Choose one soda packaging option. This example counts all 200 guests, including people who also drink alcohol. It uses a separate, editable non-alcoholic allowance; it does not add a full allowance for each beverage or include cocktail mixers.

Guests × service hours × servings per hour × serving size gives the combined volume. Your extra-stock percentage applies once. Water and soda take their selected shares; juice receives the remainder. Each volume is then divided by the package size and rounded up.
For example, 100 guests × 4 hours × 1 serving × 250ml = 100 litres before package rounding. At 35% soda, that is 35 litres of soda: 99 cans of 355ml, or 18 bottles of 2 litres. You buy one of those soda options.
How many two-litre bottles for 30 people?
With the same four-hour example, the soda share is 10.5 litres, so buy 6 two-litre bottles. If soda is the only drink in your planned allowance, set water to 0% and soda to 100%: the result is 30 litres, or 15 two-litre bottles.
What if I am also serving alcohol?
Include everyone who will use the water and soft-drink service. Set an allowance that fits your event instead of treating the number of non-drinkers as the only guests who need water. The alcohol calculator and this tool use separate allowances; review them together to avoid overbuying.
Are cocktail mixers, coffee and ice included?
No. This list covers water, soda and juice served on their own. Use the cocktail mixer planner or batch recipe calculator for measured recipe ingredients. Add coffee and cooling supplies separately.
