About Sipulus

Sipulus turns your guest count, service duration and drink preferences into quantities you can price and buy. The calculators show their planning assumptions so you can adjust them to your own event.

How the estimates work

The main alcohol calculator starts with two servings per drinking guest in the first hour and one in each later hour. It applies your chosen drink mix, then rounds each category up to full bottles or cases. These are stock-planning assumptions, not a prediction of what each guest will drink.

You can exclude known non-drinkers, choose a beer-and-wine-only mix, add an optional buffer and plan a separate toast. The soda and water calculator uses its own editable allowance split across water, soda and juice.

Check the quantities against your plans

• Container sizes: compare the sizes shown with the labels you are buying.
• Recipes: a cocktail with several spirits or a larger pour needs ingredient-by-ingredient scaling.
• Prices: built-in retail ranges are illustrative. Replace them with local quotes, including service, tax and venue charges where applicable.
• Sources: when a guide uses external research, follow its source links and check whether the date, location and event type fit your situation.
